Mary Kay Interior Designs, established in 1985 by Principal Designer Mary Kay Horel, is a Boise, Idaho based interior design firm. Her specialization began in primarily mid to high end residential design. The range of service from small projects and remodels to new construction completes a range of opportunities.
In 1988 the firm began work in medical design. The opportunities of working for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Mercy Medical Center, and West Valley Medical Center are some of a few projects to mention. Projects spanning from this work includes many doctor’s offices ranging from medical to dentistry. Class “A” office buildings and Credit Union projects complete the scope of design that her office has completed.
Mary Kay began her career in Wisconsin where she graduated with an Interior Design degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. Her first job began in St. Paul, Minnesota and with a transfer for her husband they landed in Boise, Idaho. After eight years of working for a local furniture company as an interior design consultant she began her own business which has been a life long dream.
Mary Kay is an active member of idi (interior designers of Idaho) and ASID which completes her professional background. Mary Kay continues to practice with the clients goals as her primary focus bringing her professional background and honest approach to each individual project.
